Tyce

Tyce is 8 months old now!! He just figured out how to sit up without tipping over. We think its great that he is not in a huge hurry to move. He is such a sweet little boy. He is very entertained by Cade and Elise and very much of a mama's boy. He is happiest just being toted around by me and I enjoy every bit of it. I am going to really miss this baby stage. Tyce is babbling more and more each day and recently began saying mamamama, and babababa along with many other cute little noises that he makes. Here our some pictures of our little guy.

Tea party

Last week, Elise and a friend had a tea party. It was fun to do something special for Elise. Elise and a friend Maddie poured their own tea and played tea party games. Elise was planning to wear a special dress, but decided against it right before the party began. They sure did have fune!

Winter

What a crazy winter we had here in the south!!! We had lots of snow and lots of missed preschool days for the big kids, but spring has come early and now we are enjoying some very nice weather. In mid february, we had about 20 inches of snow in 12 hours and grandma Koning was here to enjoy it with us. We were stuck in the house for a few days, but had lots of fun. Tyce is growing and changing each day. He is looking more like Cade as he gets older and he loves watching his brother and sister. Bathtime is one of his new favorite activities. Cade and Elise are going to preschool 3 mornings a week. It is fun for them and a great time for me to spend time with Tyce and get things done around the house. Next year, Cade will be going to kindergarden - where has the time gone??? One of our highlights this winter was visiting Hobbs state parks on a couple of weekends to go hiking.

State Parks

The last 2 weekends we have had great weather and we visited 2 state parks. We did some hiking, fed some fish at a fish hatchery and enjoyed the nice weather (almost 70 degrees on saturday).

We've moved!

About a month ago, we moved into our new house. It has been a lot of work and we've had a lot of help from both sets of parents to fix it up. Finally we are starting to feel settled. There are a couple pictures of the outside above. We have enjoyed the mild fall weather here. For the last couple weeks, most days have been in the 70's. Last night we went to the Toyland Festival in Bentonville. The kids could try out all kinds of toys that Wal-Mart is going to sell this coming Christmas season. Elise wasn't at all afraid of Santa and was excited to sit on his lap. Cade loved the lego village.

Hello All,

Sue was gracious to allow me time to post on the blog so I thought I would take the opportunity. We have now been in AR for a little over a week and I would say it feels more and more comfortable with each passing day. We are finding our way around much better and the kids are doing GREAT considering all the changes they had to endure this past week. We have already started looking at a few houses and have not really found anything real appealing in our price range. It appears the search could be more involved than we thought initially, but in God's time, we believe the right house will be presented to us. We have made a BIG purchase however, a nice shiny new rubber raft. It was tough for us to be staying on this lake without having the ability to get out and navigate Lake Windsor, so we have now solved the problem with a nice $30 raft. We have posted some pictures of the maiden voyage as well as pictures of the house for you all to see. Hope you enjoy them and we will continue to stay in touch.
